Dan Murphy is passionate about making a difference in his community. As an experienced leader in the government and non-profit sectors, Dan is dedicated to improving the lives of his neighbours. Dan is the Executive Director of the Union of Municipalities of New Brunswick, which works on behalf of 57 member municipalities to advance priorities to create strong and viable communities. Prior to his time with UMNB, he held senior roles with federal and provincial cabinet ministers and spent time as the Executive Director of the N.B. Non-Profit Housing Association. Dan also volunteers as the treasurer of the Housing Hub of New Brunswick and as a public committee member with NB College of Pharmacists. Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from St. Thomas University and a Master’s degree in Political Management from Carleton University. Born and raised in Rexton NB, Dan is now a resident of Fredericton’s North Side.
