Claudia Simmonds
Claudia Simmonds is the Chief Executive Officer for the Canadian Home Builders’ Association New Brunswick and has worked in this role for the past 23 years. Her previous work experience includes serving as the Executive Director for the New Brunswick Association of Real Estate Appraisers, Appraisal Institute of Canada – Saskatchewan and the Big Brothers & Big Sisters Association of Lloydminster, Alberta.
Her work with the Canadian Home Builders’ Association has included advocacy on issues related to the residential construction industry to all levels of government, championing professionalism of the residential construction industry in NB, development and implementation of New Brunswick’s first Builder Certification Program – CHBA NB Master Builder, managing the Government of Canada Energy Efficiency Labeling Programs including R-2000, Energy Star for New Housing, and the EnerGuide Rating Service. Claudia also works with her National Association, CHBA, to provide training and mentorship services to New Brunswick builders interested in building zero emissions homes through the CHBA Net Zero Labeling Program. One of Claudia’s strengths is proposal writing and funding from various levels of government. Claudia and her Team continue to develop and provide energy efficiency training and mentoring to all sectors of the Residential Construction Industry training thousands of New Brunswickers every year.
