Cat Wilson

As a professional civil engineer with experience in public, non-profit, and private sectors in Canada and abroad, Cat complements the Housing Hub team. While it is her first foray into affordable housing development, her background in consulting and construction provides relatable contexts. Cat is enthusiastic to contribute – her heart for community-based development aligns with the work of the Housing Hub in coming alongside grassroots efforts to make community building a reality and affirms the drive that prompted her pursuit of concurrent degrees at the University of New Brunswick (UNB) in civil engineering and leadership through the Renaissance College program.

Past projects in which Cat developed coordination expertise include rapid infrastructure assessments with Engineering Ministries International (EMI) in Costa Rica and Angola and the Big Lift project to redeck the suspended spans of the Macdonald bridge in Halifax, NS. She briefly worked in structural engineering consulting in South Africa.

Most recently, Cat served students, employers, and faculty through the Engineering and Science Co-op Program at the University of New Brunswick (UNB) as a Co-op Officer, encouraging and guiding future engineers and scientists through early career experiences across many disciplines.
