Nicole Somers

A Saint-Quentin native, Nicole Somers is undisputedly an accomplished career-woman. For many years, Nicole has occupied roles in public service; her exceptional career path includes a tenure as municipal Councillor since 2005 and Mayor of the Town of Saint Quentin since 2014.

Recognized as a dynamic and generous leader, Nicole is very engaged in community development, particularly when it relates to its economic and cultural growth, youth engagement, and community service retention and capacity building. Among her engagement in various projects stands workforce recruitment into the region, services for adults experiencing physical and developmental disabilities, attraction of immigration for francophone populations. In addition to being an engaged community volunteer, Nicole sits on various local, regional and provincial committees. Over the past few years, she has become an inspring icon for young women and in empowering women in leadership in society.
